Weekly Journal #2

This week was a lazy week. Yes, I went to work. Yes, I had to give tutoring sessions after school. Yes, I had some calls, emails, and corrections to do, but this week was not as productive as I wanted it to be.

However, I am not disappointed in myself. I just want to make each moment count and so when I feel like I haven’t done much, I reflect on what I should do in the upcoming week so that I can occupy my time wisely.

My mental health this week was satisfying. I was stressed out for my presentation, but while and after I was talking in front and sharing my mental health story, I felt good. That never happened before. Usually, after a presentation, I don’t feel good about it and I really try to forget about what just happened. However, this one was different. I was glad I did it. I guess it’s different when you make it more personal. When you share your story, it just comes naturally and you feel good. I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone.

In terms of finances, I spent quite a lot. However, I’m happy with my purchases. It’s stuff I’ve been putting off for a while for the sake of saving money. This time, I was just like, you know what, just buy these items, so you don’t have to worry about them later.

This upcoming week, my goal is to not spend as much. In other words, take a break from shopping.

I also want to dedicate more time to reading. I haven’t read in a while just because I wasn’t feeling it, but I think if I just take a moment to pick up the book and start reading, I’ll be able to read at least one chapter a night.

I ended the weekend with a small family gathering. It’s always nice to be with family on Sundays. I love these moments. To be honest, it refreshes my mind and gets me ready for the week ahead.

There’s currently a power outage as I’m writing this. I will post it once it’s back.
