By the time I’m writing this, it’s 10:20 pm on May 4th, 2022. I just turned 25. Wow, what a journey! In today’s post, I thought it would be a great idea to talk about the 25 things I learned in the first 25 years of my life. I’m thinking of starting a podcast and going over each one, but for now, here is my list.
- I learned how to play the piano and the guitar.
- Some people that enter your life are not meant to stay.
- The only person who cares so much about you is yourself.
- Be proud of your accomplishments.
- Some people use your weakness to take advantage of you.
- Work hard, but take the time to spend quality time with your loved ones.
- It’s ok to be selfish sometimes.
- Don’t keep your knowledge to yourself, share it with others, so they can learn from you.
- Taking risks can bring you to greater places in life.
- Heartbreaks can teach you how to value yourself.
- Don’t lower your standards because of love.
- Think before you act.
- It’s important to clear your mind at least once a day (meditation).
- Spoil yourself from time to time (you deserve it!)
- It’s ok to make mistakes; don’t be too hard on yourself.
- Be generous.
- Reading is therapy.
- There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
- Drinking (alcohol) is fun as long as you’re responsible and you know your limits.
- Don’t look good for others, look good for yourself.
- You don’t need anyone’s approval.
- Know when to leave a toxic situation.
- Don’t just work to earn, you should work to invest as well.
- Pressure is good because it pushes you to achieve more.
- The most important goal in life is to be happy.
