25 things I learned in 25 years

By the time I’m writing this, it’s 10:20 pm on May 4th, 2022. I just turned 25. Wow, what a journey! In today’s post, I thought it would be a great idea to talk about the 25 things I learned in the first 25 years of my life. I’m thinking of starting a podcast and going over each one, but for now, here is my list.

  1. I learned how to play the piano and the guitar.
  2. Some people that enter your life are not meant to stay.
  3. The only person who cares so much about you is yourself.
  4. Be proud of your accomplishments.
  5. Some people use your weakness to take advantage of you.
  6. Work hard, but take the time to spend quality time with your loved ones.
  7. It’s ok to be selfish sometimes.
  8. Don’t keep your knowledge to yourself, share it with others, so they can learn from you.
  9. Taking risks can bring you to greater places in life.
  10. Heartbreaks can teach you how to value yourself.
  11. Don’t lower your standards because of love.
  12. Think before you act.
  13. It’s important to clear your mind at least once a day (meditation).
  14. Spoil yourself from time to time (you deserve it!)
  15. It’s ok to make mistakes; don’t be too hard on yourself.
  16. Be generous.
  17. Reading is therapy.
  18. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
  19. Drinking (alcohol) is fun as long as you’re responsible and you know your limits.
  20. Don’t look good for others, look good for yourself.
  21. You don’t need anyone’s approval.
  22. Know when to leave a toxic situation.
  23. Don’t just work to earn, you should work to invest as well.
  24. Pressure is good because it pushes you to achieve more.
  25. The most important goal in life is to be happy.
